OP4855 XYON
The OP4855 XYON standalone sensor interface is a high-performance direct injection solution for controller testing, designed to meet the demanding needs of embedded systems engineers. Testing camera controllers using traditional OTA (over-the-air) configurations can be costly, limited, and challenging. The OP4855 XYON offers a simplified alternative, allowing users to test up to 11 camera channels using simulated or pre-recorded camera data.

Highlights
Advanced standalone sensor interface for direct injection of raw camera data
Discover how the OP4855 XYON can enhance your testing capabilities and redefine what’s possible in autonomous system development.
1
A platform designed for HIL simulation
The low-latency architecture of the OP4855 XYON enables high-fidelity ECU injection testing with fast loop rates via direct camera, making OTA (over-the-air) testing a thing of the past.
2
Easy data editing
Use the OP4855 XYON’s intuitive user interface to inject errors or overlay images and videos onto the camera’s raw data streams. Easily repeat identical tests with different input data for comprehensive validation.
3
Comprehensive test coverage
OTA solutions are insufficient for critical scenarios such as glare testing, as they cover only 80% of use cases. With our injection technology, you can access the full spectrum of tests—including edge cases—and ensure complete reliability.
4
Making the most of cameras
Connect the OP4855 XYON to cameras to simplify test setup and improve simulation accuracy.
IMAGE CONTROL
Improved handling of raw images
Each video channel on the OP4855 XYON can be configured independently using its streamlined user interface, XYON LAB. This allows users to configure settings such as resolution, frame rate, and pixel format. The OP4855 XYON also includes advanced image processing features, including brightness, saturation, contrast, color gain, and static or dynamic image overlays for camera defect detection, to provide the highest possible level of test coverage and ensure the reliability and robustness of your systems.
Connections and Interface
Designed for high-performance testing
The OP4855 XYON architecture is built on an AMD Versal™ Prime FPGA and was designed to meet the most stringent requirements for testing autonomous system controllers. The OP4855 XYON modules interface directly with the FPGA to ensure the lowest possible latency across all 11 channels. The AMD Versal™ Prime FPGA and SFP inputs were selected for their flexibility and scalability to support both current and next-generation applications, ensuring the longevity of your investment.
